DESCRIPTION:Young Professionals are super excited to invite you to another Afterwork/networking event! As always\, the event is free with the only requirement of ordering something in the bar. The doors open at 20:00 and guest speaker starts at 20:20. \nThe event’s guest speaker\, \nDaniel Pargman is an associate professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He will present the area of ”Futures studies” with an emphasis on using counterfactual (“what-if”) scenarios to explore probable\, plausible\, possible and preferable futures. He will also present a specific counterfactual scenario that starts with the question “What if there had only been half the oil on earth?”. What would the consequences have been for globalisation – for example for travel\, for transports\, for trade and for all the Swedish millennials in Barcelona? Taking into account that oil is a non-renewable resource and that we are using it up like there’s not tomorrow\, what does this all mean for us here and now? \nBring your friends and see you on the 22th of May!
